Long arm quilters use a large mounted sewing machine to sew together the quilt sandwich. What makes a long arm sewing machine different than other machines is the throat space and the table size. My Long Arm is a Baby Lock Regalia 20” that sits on a 10-foot frame. Other machines could go up to 24” inches of throat space and sit on a table up to 12 feet in length. My sewing studio only had room for a 10 foot machine. My machine is computerized and runs on a track that is mounted to the table. Of course there are many types of quilting machines that can meet all types of needs.
Long arm quilting offers a high degree of customization. We can create our own designs or use pre-programmed patterns. The flexibility of the machine allows for a wide range of quilting styles, from simple, straight lines to elaborate, free-motion quilting.
Creating a t-shirt quilt is a wonderful way to repurpose old t-shirts that hold sentimental value, transforming them into a functional and meaningful keepsake. Whether it's for personal use or as a gift, a t-shirt quilt is a heartfelt way to celebrate and remember life's special moments.
